Review: Woodside All Day Bar & Eatery

After winning the hearts of thousands with its Colaba outlet, Woodside opens an all day dining outlet in the burbs! Andheri welcomes this beauty with open arms and pints of beers!

Known for its burgers and beers, we decided to drop in here for a full-fledged lunch. With a warm ambience adorned with wooden furniture and a well stocked bar, the inside section of Woodside is the perfect option on a sunny day. However, if you’re visiting this place post noon, opt for their alfresco dining area which is more relaxed, vibrant and full on energy.

The menu of Woodside is quite similar to one in Colaba, with a couple of additions. There are burgers, sandwiches, salads, pizzas, pastas and mains. Also, they have quite a tempting selection of desserts! Besides the luscious burgers, we would recommend the ‘Chicken Caesar Salad’, the ‘Fish Fingers with Tartar dip’, the ‘Pesto Grilled Chicken with Fresh Mozzarella Pizza’ and the ‘Grilled Rawas with Lemon Caper Sauce’.

The service at Woodside is pleasing and prompt; they don’t keep you waiting for too long for your meal and are willing to alter the dishes according to your preferences. Overall, Woodside is a charming option for a romantic meal, a casual lunch or a relaxed dinner with your friends. If you haven’t been here yet, you’re definitely missing out on something!

Review: Fat Cat Cafe

Absurd as its name may sound, Fat Cat Cafe is a great place to enjoy a relatively formal meal. Yes, you guessed it right, it's not a cafe, it's a fine-dine restaurant that serves Italian cuisine and flaunts an extensive bar menu.
We decided to drop in at Fat Cat Cafe for lunch. As we entered, we noticed that the restaurant is spacious and is divided into two sections by a raised floor.

We were politely guided to a table and breadsticks alongwith three dips were served immediately. The menu comprises of Sandwiches, Burgers, Salads, Soups, Appetizers, Pastas and Mains. We called for the Pasta Alfredo with Added Grilled Chicken and the House Smoked Chicken.

The Pasta Alfredo was prepared in cream sauce and was well cooked. However, the quantity of meat could have definitely been better as we were charged for the chicken separately. The House Smoked Chicken was recommended by the server and was definitely a better bet! It was tender, flavourful and absolutely delightful!

On the whole, this place is a great option for a first date or a formal meeting. The service is prompt and the food is delicious if you choose the right thing. Go for the servers recommendation and you certainly won't be disappointed.
